The owner for several Orlando-area infusion clinics was charged with health-care and wire fraud on Wednesday as part of a large national take-down, involving 301 people for nearly $900 million in false billing, federal officials announced. Yosbel Marimon, 39, of Winter Park who operated clinics under the names Legend Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Incare Medical & Rehab Center, Assisting Health Center and CKD Health Care, was also charged with six counts of health-care fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. According to the Department of Justice, Marimon and co-conspirators paid cash kickbacks to Medicare beneficiaries in return for serving as patients at one of their clinics and to access their beneficiary information. Those drugs were also not medically necessary. Read more: www.orlandosentinel.com/health/vital-signs/os-largest-medicare-fraud-bust-20160623-story.html
