HARRISON TOWNSHIP — It was a coming-out party of sorts for Lt. Gov. Brian Calley as he made the rounds of the sold-out crowd at the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce's luncheon Monday. Just 12 hours earlier, he had released an online ad that didn’t specifically say he’s running for governor, but sure sounded like a campaign ad. He started talking about his daughter Reagan, who has autism. “We’re amazed at how far she’s come. She just needed a little extra help,” he said in the ad. “I don’t shout it from the rooftop. It’s not my style. It’s not the grandstanding that matters, it’s winning, for you.” He mentions the controversial right-to-work legislation that was passed by the Legislature in 2012 and scrapping the Michigan business tax.
