GRAND RAPIDS, MI -The ex-wife of former Greenville police Chief Mark Reiss was convicted of charges related to her use of his health insurance after they divorced.
Christine Reiss, 48, was ordered jailed Thursday, May 11, after a Kent County Circuit Court jury found her guilty of three charges of healthcare fraud for making a false claim, making a false statement and concealing information.
She was cleared of seven other charges.
Judge Mark Trusock, who presided over the jury trial this week, set sentencing for June 22.
Mark Reiss, the former director of Greenville Public Safety Department, resigned in February after he was ordered to stand trial in Montcalm County Circuit Court on felony healthcare fraud charges.
