AG Kathleen Kane cites 'selective and vindictive prosecution' in bid to dismiss chargesAttorney General Kathleen Kane filed a new motion Wednesday to dismiss the criminal charges against her in the alleged grand jury leak case. In the motion, which will be considered by a Montgomery County judge, Kane's attorneys argued that she was the victim of "selective or vindictive prosecution." Citing heavily from news reports and court transcripts, Kane's legal team argued that grand jury leaks are seldom prosecuted, pointing specifically at accusations arising from the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case and leaks that swirled around the leak investigation that implicated Kane herself. "None of these other leaks appear to have resulted even in a grand jury investigation, and certainly none have led to a criminal prosecution," the filing reads.
