Woman accused in fatal OSU parade crash pleads not guilty during formal arraignment
STILLWATER — The driver accused in the fatal 2015 Oklahoma State University homecoming parade crash pleaded not guilty during a formal arraignment Wednesday in Payne County District Court. Adacia Avery Chambers, 25, of Stillwater, did not speak during the arraignment, which lasted about five minutes. Her attorney, Tony Coleman, addressed the judge for her and said Chambers would plead not guilty to all 46 counts. Chambers is accused of driving her car through police barricades and into a crowd about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 24 at Main Street and Hall of Fame Avenue. Four parade spectators died. Dozens were injured. She is charged with four counts of second-degree murder and 42 counts of assault and battery by means or force likely to produce death. All counts carry possible sentences of up to life in prison.
