WACO -- Colorado-based Zayo Group Holdings has bought Clearview International in an $18.9 million deal that includes Clearview’s data center on Austin Avenue, which likely will see an increase in staffers and business clients from the transaction, Zayo Group officials said. With the acquisition, Zayo owns and operates seven data centers in Texas and a total of 57 facilities in North America and Europe. It describes itself as the “global leader in communications infrastructure,” and it allows companies to contract for the storage, processing and transporting of large volumes of data. Clearview’s data center at 700 Austin Ave. employs 10 people and serves about 40 corporate clients, figures that could grow considerably because of the company’s purchase by Zayo Group. T.J. Karklins, CEO of Clearview, said in an email response to questions, “We expect to increase employment in Waco as we bring more customers into the facility. Since the acquisition, we’ve already had global multinational companies looking at the Waco market for the first time.” Read more: www.wacotrib.com/news/business/colorado-company-buys-waco-data-center/article_9ce7600e-27cd-5d51-815a-4370b90a3c2f.html
