A Florida man pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court to wire fraud charges related to the theft of more than $800,000 from 434 victims, according to a court news release. As part of the plea agreement, the federal government will oversee reimbursement to victims. Mark Allen Hartley, 55, owner of Patriot Computers, admitted to a four-count indictment that from Dec. 1, 2012, through April 14, 2014, Hartley devised a scheme to defraud First Citizens Bank of Hardin County and its customers. Hartley operated a Virginia-based business called Spartan Group Inc. that did business under the name Patriot Computers, according to the release from federal court in Louisville.
