ASHWAUBENON - Elisa Noel knows how she’s going to spend her summer vacation.
Noel, a Greenleaf resident and lunch server in the Brillion School District, plans to volunteer for Democrat and Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson’s campaign to win the 8th Congressional District.
“We’re really supporters,” Noel said of herself and her daughter, Lisa. “I’ve met him a few times already. He is what we need here (representing the district). He’s very smart and he cares about the issues.”
Noel was among nearly 1,000 Democrats attending the party's state convention Friday and Saturday at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Ashwaubenon.
