Plano couple sued for $1M over one-star Yelp review asks judge to drop suitA Dallas pet-sitting company that drew national scrutiny after it sued a couple over a one-star Yelp review is now asking for up to $1 million in damages, upping its request because the owners have suffered a “dramatic decrease” in business and even received death threats. The couple, meanwhile, filed paperwork this week asking a judge to dismiss the lawsuit, asserting their right to free speech. Michelle and Robert Duchouquette, who live in Plano, submitted a 143-page motion to dismiss the suit after Prestigious Pets moved the case from small claims courts — where damages are capped at $10,000 — to a Dallas district court — where damages can be unlimited. “It’s interesting.
