The big guns of the Clinton campaign are trained on Iowa, a sure sign that the former secretary of state sees Bernie Sanders' rising fortunes as a serious challenge to her run for president. Saturday's Washington Post story, "Top Democrats, and a little bit of Hollywood, are rushing to Iowa to boost Hillary Clinton," is the latest take on Sanders' impact on the race for the Democratic nomination. The most interesting line in the story by Philip Rucker and Abby Philip appears in the lead: "With another Iowa presidential contest at risk of slipping out of Hillary Clinton’s reach, the Democratic Party is launching a massive effort this weekend to boost her candidacy." Yes, the Democratic Party. This might be the most honest recognition yet that Sanders' unexpected strong showing has party leaders who thought they were driving the nomination bus are jerking the wheel at unexpected sharp curves (to the left) in the road. The party screwed up by letting this guy into their process.....he is blocking O's FDA nominee....
The surrogates really have to blast this all over Iowa...
