NORMAN — A proposed plan to cut $20 million from the University of Oklahoma's budget includes a voluntary retirement incentive program. The OU Board of Regents will consider the plan Thursday, according to a news release issued Tuesday. The board's regular meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Scholars Room of Oklahoma Memorial Union. Regents will take up items submitted by Cameron University and Rogers State University before acting on the OU items. Oklahoma public colleges and universities are cutting their budgets in response to this fiscal year's revenue shortfall and a projected $1 billion deficit for next fiscal year.
