Children internalize everything. They absorb everything. And sometimes, they know better. A 9-year-old Georgia girl proved that this week after she called 911 to report her dad driving drunk in Glynn County earlier this week. She was in the vehicle at the time of the call. The 911 dispatcher tried to get the location of the girl and her father, but the 9-year-old was so upset she had trouble communicating. Dispatcher: “Are you in the car with him?” Little girl: “Yes, and he’s driving really fastly, and I think I’m going to get into a wreck and kill myself.” During the 17-minute distressing 911 call, the young girl begged her dad to pull over or stop the car so she could try to find out where she was.
