An Eau Claire stay-at-home mom never considered political activism. Then Donald Trump was elected.Anna Rybicki was always a voter, but that was about the extent of her political involvement. The Eau Claire stay-at-home mom didn’t post political messages on Facebook out of fear of offending someone, and she certainly never considered herself a political activist. But that all changed with the 2016 presidential election. “Like many others, I was surprised at the election of Donald Trump, and it led me to do some real soul-searching,” said Rybicki, who couldn’t understand how the American people could elect a leader she finds so abhorrent. That reflection is what led Rybicki to join about 30 others outside the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club in Altoona earlier this month to protest an appearance by U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., at an Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce event.
