A Rutgers faculty union launched a digital ad campaign attacking the university over a $32 million contract it gave returning football coach Greg Schiano. The American Association of University Professors Biomedical and Health Sciences of New Jersey is embroiled in ongoing contract negotiations. The digital ads will link to a petition pledging support for the union’s members. “This campaign is meant to bring greater attention to Rutgers’ anti-union policies, which only serve to hurt its faculty and the students we serve,” said AAUP-BHSNJ Executive Director Diomedes Tsitouras. “When the school cares more about giving a football coach $32 million than negotiating a contract with its faculty, you know their priorities are completely out of balance.” newjerseyglobe.com/section-2/rutgers-union-launches-ads-attacking-university-over-schiano-contract/
