A Delaware-based non-profit organization will offer a $10,000 college scholarship to a high school senior in the state who "embodies the virtues of" former state Attorney General Beau Biden, whose family will help select the recipient. Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, died last year after a battle with brain cancer. His death led to a deluge of sympathy both in the state and from around the world. The scholarship will be offered by the I Could Do Great Things Foundation based in Greenville. The organization offers internships, scholarships and grants to people and groups who "improve the life of one individual, one community or the entire world." Foundation officials in a statement said Beau Biden was "a selfless man who exhibited qualities of leadership, community, civility, respect and a strong moral compass."
