In an effort to curb unregulated tourist lodging on island, lawmakers and tourism stakeholders came together Thursday to find solutions. A roundtable meeting was held at the Guam Legislature to discuss the issue. The roundtable comes amid debate regarding unlicensed, untaxed and unregulated businesses hosting guests in Guam. “This is a very, very real opportunity to more than just fix the problem,” said Sen. Tina Muna Barnes, who chairs the Legislature’s Committee on Municipal Affairs, Tourism, Housing and Historic Preservation.
