OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Democratic Party is suing Gov. Mary Fallin, alleging that her office has failed to provide requested public records. “The failure of the governor to provide the records requested is a violation of the (Open Records Act) which provides that ‘(a) public body must provide prompt, reasonable access to its records,’” the lawsuit states. The organization asked for records on how much the governor spent on her trip to Paris in June. The organization complained that its request, made in June, still hasn’t been fulfilled. “The issue arose out of Fallin’s trip to Paris for the Paris Air Show and, of course, the circumstances of the trip were that during that time period there were some very serious storms and flooding going on in Oklahoma with an awful lot of damage taking place in the state,” said Mark Hammons, an Oklahoma City attorney and the Oklahoma Democratic Party chairman.
