Colorado hospital drug theft prompts patient hepatitis, HIV tests in PhoenixPHOENIX — HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center in Phoenix is offering free hepatitis and HIV testing to patients after discovering a former employee is accused of stealing pain medication at a Colorado facility. HonorHealth said in a statement that the former surgical technician worked for the hospital between July and September of 2014. "It is important to note that the situation at our facility is different than the one in Colorado," the statement said. The hospital is offering tests in "an abundance of safety." They say the male technician was fired after testing positive for use of a controlled substance.
