A Corpus Christi lawyer with a history of leading the charge in auto civil action is preparing for a trial against General Motors in federal court in Manhattan.
Bob Hilliard is one of three lawyers appointed as co-lead counsel to handle the multi-district litigation and is responsible for leading the personal injury and death cases.
In the first trial across the country against the auto giant, Hilliard represents an Oklahoma man who was injured in a May 2014 crash. The trial is set to begin Monday.
Five other trials are scheduled in Manhattan and more are expected to follow in other states, he said.
