I have not posted much over the last two-three days due to some physical ailments (leg inflammation, stubbed toe, and malaise) along with medical appointments. I'm hoping to catch back up on the news from all parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.

Careful. I had a horse who came down with that. Had to shoot her.
Just kidding. Better get well real fast.

I was never going to win the sexy legs contest since I'm knobby-kneed, bow-legged and about as white as a computer screen; but the scars over the past five years have taken a toll and they are hideously ugly now.

Sorry for my sick sense of humor. At least it applies to me too. Few weeks ago I was feeling po'ly and emailed an acquaintance that it was time for the rendering plant. Had to explain what a rendering plant was.
I do wish you good health. Perhaps you will feel better in Nov.

Thank you, the primaries and the debates also drew my attention away from here, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the amount of attention this place has received and the fact that it picked up two new members even when the quantity of posts was diminished. There is definitely interest in reading news that is on topics that concern Democrats so I'll keep doing what I'm doing realizing that projects of this nature fill a vacuum that is going to last longer than the primary campaigns or general election. I am certainly concerned about what might happen in November. Whether Bernie is too revolutionary or Hillary is the status quo, the one thing that I'm certain of is that neither myself or this country can survive four years of Trump or Cruz and this site is dedicated to opposing them.

I hope you're doing better now. And not getting flooded out. Y'all got even worse storms than we did (that is, in the western half of Houston; eastern half got it pretty bad, too.)

I hope you're doing better now. And not getting flooded out. Y'all got even worse storms than we did (that is, in the western half of Houston; eastern half got it pretty bad, too.) It wasn't too bad in Wharton. The big question here is whether the hospital is going to stay open (my brother works there). They cut the paychecks which were supposed to be released today, but they locked them up and said they won't go out until Monday. They are down to an ER and aren't admitting any patients so it is likely that they will won't be open next week. The owner isn't paying the bills and the workers are getting fed up to the point that they are quitting which is what the owner probably wants since he can deny them unemployment. My situation in Wharton is very unstable and my brother has been driving me nuts for the last two months and it's a struggle waking up each day. Dealing with my issues is difficult enough, but listening to him drone on for hours about problems that I can't fix is overwhelming.
