TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Attorney General’s Office says a Tucson family has been permanently banned from engaging in any automobile or paving activity in the state. The AG’s Office announced Friday that A&D’s Auto Care and Desert Paveing violated the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act and scammed customers out of thousands of dollars. The owners of the companies have to pay more than $18,000 in consumer restitution as part of an order for default judgment plus $100,000 in civil penalties and almost $17,000 for the state’s attorney’s fees and costs. The judgment resolves the state’s consumer fraud lawsuit filed last June. Read more: www.abqjournal.com/739560/news-around-the-region/arizona-ag-tucson-family-ordered-to-stop-auto-repairs.html
