About $53 million in tax refunds for the current tax season had been processed as of the end of February, according to a Department of Revenue and Taxation report released Tuesday. However, no refunds have been paid yet. The Calvo administration didn’t provide a timeline or plan as to when it expects to make its first payment for 2015 tax returns. “Tax refunds will continue to be paid as they have been by the administration for the last several years,” Oyaol Ngirairikl, Adelup director of communications, wrote in an email. Adelup officials have previously said one of Gov. Eddie Calvo’s top priorities is to pay tax refunds. But such a priority, they stated, comes with one caveat: having available funds.
