A wildfire in southeast Arizona along the New Mexico border that has burned close to 8,000 acres was 90 percent contained Sunday, according to officials.
The Baker Canyon Fire has been burning since March 21 near Douglas. The exact cause of the blaze remains under investigation, Bureau of Land Management spokesman Jon Cambra said.
Fire crews on Sunday were monitoring the blaze, which had "no movement," and are expected to have it entirely contained by Monday, Cambra said.
Gusting winds in the area were affecting the fire and are expected to continue, according to the National Weather Service Tucson Office.
