Clinton, Sanders campaigns to woo South Dakota Democrats
South Dakota Democrats will get their chance to hear from the campaigns of presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders Saturday as part of the state party's McGovern Day Dinner.
Representatives from each campaign are set to speak at the event to be held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center a little more than a month ahead of the state's primary election.
U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, will represent the Clinton campaign at the dinner and preceding reception and Charlene Yi, actress and comedian known for her role, Jodi, in Knocked Up (2007) will represent Sanders' campaign.
Democratic U.S. House and Senate candidates Paula Hawks and Jay Williams are also set to speak at the dinner. Hawks is challenging Rep. Kristi Noem, R-S.D., for her seat and Williams is taking on Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.
