Tab for damages from fire at North Penn HS estimated between $1M to $1.5M
Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania -- North Penn School District officials have increased the damage estimate from the May 24 fire at the high school, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
School officials had said the damage was minimal, according to district attorney Communications Director Kate Delano.
“We have now received a revised estimate of damages of between $1 million to $1.5 million,” Delano said Wednesday.
Schools officials attributed the increase to structural damage that was found following an inspection in addition to the smoke damage and damage to band instruments, she said.
