Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin, a Chicago-based bankruptcy law firm, has opened an office Wilmington. The new office will be led by bankruptcy attorney Thomas M. Horan, who most recently practiced at Womble Carlyle's Wilmington firm. Horan has represented debtors, unsecured creditors and other clients in Chapter 11 proceedings. A member of the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Horan also has represented parties in fraudulent transfer and turnover litigation. "Shaw Fishman's reputation in the bankruptcy space is unmatched," Horan said in a statement. "I'm thrilled at the opportunity to collaborate with some of the industry's brightest minds to service the needs of businesses in Delaware bankruptcy cases" Robert Fishman, co-chair of the firm's Bankruptcy, Reorganization, and Creditors' Rights practice, said the firm had sought a Delaware presence because the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware resolves some of the nation's largest bankruptcy cases.
