Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton Saturday plans to announce another round of North Carolina TV ads, her second of the general election campaign. Campaign officials did not release the cost of the latest buy. Spokesman Andrew Bates put the cost of the first at “eight figures.” The first buy, announced last week, featured two ads focusing on Clinton’s efforts over the years to help children. It aired in North Carolina and seven other battleground states. Part of a six-week TV buy, the ads traced Clinton’s longtime commitment to kids as a lawyer for the Children’s Defense Fund, as first lady, as a U.S. senator and secretary of state.
