Lurking, lingering alligators were the reason one state park closed in South Georgia. With the alligators too close to swimmers, a professional trapper was brought to the side of Reed Bingham State Park in Adel to help relocate the gators. The area was not able to be immediately secured, so the park was closed at the beach area until further notice. The incident comes on the heels of a horrific incident at a Disney resort where a young toddler was taken from the shore of a waterway by an alligator. Facilities and beaches are now taking extra caution any time one is sited. Generally, alligators are intimidated by humans and will stay away, but the state park was unwilling to take the risk and keep the gators on the property. Park rangers issued a reminder that people shouldn’t feed any wildlife, regardless of size. evans.allongeorgia.com/georgia-park-closes-because-of-alligators/
