2 Atlantic City firefighters charged with buying fake heroin, reports sayATLANTIC CITY — Two city firefighters have been arrested after trying to buy heroin from an undercover officer outside of a city firehouse, according to reports. Eric Funk, 39, and Matthew Doherty, 33, have both been charged with third degree possession of imitation heroin, CBS 3 reports. The two men allegedly bought the fake drugs from a New Jersey State trooper who was undercover at the time. Funk, who was wearing his Atlantic City Fire Department Uniform, reportedly paid the officer $20, while Doherty gave him a watch in exchange for the fake drugs, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
