ZUMBROTA — Be on the lookout for a white Ford Focus. It might have some major gravel-like damage along the bottom, and it could be riding low as if weighed down by something heavy. Concrete, specifically. A car matching that description came driving through a construction zone on Goodhue County Road 6 Friday afternoon, damaging recently poured concrete. and causing extensive damage to the resurfacing project along the road that heads north of Zumbrota toward Minnesota Highway 19 just southwest of Red Wing, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office. "It was a good day of concrete pouring until about 3:30 Friday afternoon when we got a call from the contractor," said Jess Greenwood, deputy director and assistant engineer for the Goodhue County Public Works Department. The car, that came speeding past the saw crews — the folks who cut the concrete into segments — between 410th and 420th streets, damaged about 3,500 feet of concrete in that stretch.
