Family foundation donates $2.5M to Arkansas Children's Hospital to help abused kidsThe family of the late David M. Clark has donated $2.5 million to Arkansas Children’s Hospital to support services for abused and neglected children, the hospital’s foundation said Wednesday. The David M. Clark Center for Safe and Healthy Children, which is set to house medical, legal and mental health services for victims of child maltreatment on the hospital's campus in Little Rock, will be dedicated Aug. 11, according to a news release. “Our dad always had a soft spot in his heart for children,” said Elizabeth Taylor, president of Clark Family Foundation Inc. “Throughout his life he wanted to ensure a healthy future for children throughout the region.” The 36,438-square-foot David M. Clark Center will sit at Battery and 12th streets in Little Rock. It was funded through "several lead donors and many others contributing $11.3 million to the project," the foundation said.
