A digital sign outside of a downtown Reno strip club that has been decried by economic development officials and mothers alike for its depiction of dancing strippers could be forced to come down under a new ordinance being considered by the Reno City Council. But if the sign goes, it won't go gently. The operators of the Wild Orchid on Virginia Street and California Avenue have replaced the images of scantily clad dancers on the sign with political messages aimed at the Council as the city begins its public outreach on the proposed changes to its strip club ordinance. "Stop the City Council from changing Reno for the worse," reads one message. "Empty buildings help no one," reads another.
