Dane County completes presidential election recount with no major discrepancies reported
Dane County finished its recount of ballots cast in the Nov. 8 presidential election Saturday night, ahead of Monday’s deadline and under budget, County Clerk Scott McDonell said.
“No major discrepancies have been discovered,” McDonell said. “The election equipment and procedures have been (found)to be extremely secure and accurate.”
The state’s second-largest county, Dane was the largest to conduct a hand recount.
President-elect Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin by about 22,000 votes.
