No more jail for Provo man who brought small bomb to US buildingSALT LAKE CITY — A federal judge is allowing a Provo man accused of trying to bring a small homemade explosive device into a U.S. government building in Salt Lake City to remain free and not serve more jail time. The Salt Lake Tribune reports U.S. District Judge Jill Parrish on Tuesday sentenced Brandon Evert Bushnell to the 71 days he already spent in jail following his November 2015 arrest and waived a fine. Parrish says Bushnell had no criminal record and was "a model citizen." Prosecutors say a security guard found a device known as a cricket bomb in Bushnell's pocket when he arrived for a Social Security Administration hearing last year.
