Mass. $1M Scratch Ticket Winner Arrested for ShopliftingSALEM, NH — A Bay State woman who reportedly won a $1 million Mass. State Lottery scratch ticket in mid-October was arrested for shoplifting in Salem yesterday, according to police. Yokatia E. Rodriguez, 40, of Ames Hill Drive in Tewksbury, MA, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2016, for willful concealment. Rodriguez, according to a police log, was arrested after an alleged incident at Kohl’s on Cluff Crossing Road. According to a post on Tewksbury MA Patch, Rodriguez purchased a winning “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” scratch ticket at the Qwik Mart on Main Street in Haverhill. The after-taxes winning from the prize that she collected in October was $650,000. “With her winnings, she plans on buying a house,” the lottery noted in a press statement online recently.
