22-year-old accidentally shoots, kills himself in Williamsburg pancake house
WILLIAMSBURG -- A 22-year-old man fatally shot himself by accident on Friday inside the Astronomical Pancake House, police said.
Elias John Kokolis of James City County died in the incident, said Major Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department.
Around 1:30 p.m., police responded to the shooting at the pancake house in the 1300 block of Richmond Road, Riley said. Officers found Kokolis unresponsive and he died on the way to the hospital.
Police say it appears Kokolis accidentally shot himself at the restaurant. Riley did not have further information and said the case has been referred to the medical examiner's office.
