The U.S. auto industry played a role in President Donald Trump's first press briefing Monday when his staff announced a pending meeting with CEOs. Sean Spicer, spokesperson for President Donald Trump, said that the president will have breakfast in Washington on Tuesday with auto CEOs, including GM, Ford and Chrysler. Spicer said Trump looks forward to hearing their ideas about "how we can work together to bring more jobs back to this industry in particular." The news about the auto CEO meeting came as Trump makes changes to international trade in the early days of his administration. He abandoned the Trans-Pacific Partnership earlier Monday, and reports indicate he plans to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico.
