Ed Czuprynski settles lawsuit for $1 million with man he crashed intoBAY CITY, MI -- A lawsuit filed against Bay City attorney Edward M. Czuprynski after he crashed into a pedestrian has been settled for more than $1 million. Walking with a cane, James S. Stivenson on Tuesday, Feb. 7, appeared before visiting Tuscola County Circuit Judge Roy G. Mienk with attorney Todd J. Weglarz and brother Ken Stivenson. Weglarz, of Fieger Law, requested Mienk grant the settlement that had been struck and dismiss the suit. The settlement amount was for $1,075,000, Weglarz said. The figure compensates him for his pain and suffering, Weglarz said. Stivenson turned to his brother and cried after Weglarz stated the amount. Stivenson still has the right to pursue payment for medical expenses against Czuprynski's insurance policy, Weglarz said.
