TOPEKA — The Kansas Legislature is taking four more days off than usual for this standard break in the session, according to Legislative Administrative Services. The Senate wrapped up work on the floor at noon Thursday. The House finished before 5 p.m. the same day, for the Friday start of a hiatus that will end with a return on March 6. “I thought it was crazy,” said House Majority Leader Don Hineman, R-Dighton, of the calendar shepherded by Senate leadership.
