A bill that would raise Delaware's minimum wage to $10.25 an hour by 2020 narrowly passed the Senate on Wednesday and now heads to the House for approval. The vote came down along party lines, with 11 Democrats voting yes and all nine Republicans voting no. Sen. Brian Bushweller, D-Central Kent, was the only Democrat not to vote yes — he did not vote. Democrats say raising the minimum wage would lift families out of poverty and pump more money into the consumer economy.
