HAMILTON – A Hamilton man was charged Monday in last week’s burglary and desecration of a Corvallis Church. Matthew A. McClune, 25, appeared Monday before Ravalli County Justice of the Peace Jim Bailey on one count of felony burglary and misdemeanor charges of desecration of a place of worship, criminal mischief, forgery and theft. The Corvallis Methodist Church was broken into during the night of March 3. According to charging documents, the Ravalli County sheriff’s sergeant who investigated the scene on March 4 found a window on the church’s second floor had been broken with a rock. There was a small smear of blood at the bottom edge of the window.
