State reprimands Bay Area transplant surgeon for DUI hit-and-run arrestThe state medical board issued a public reprimand to an accomplished Mill Valley surgeon arrested in a DUI hit-and-run case last year. Andrew Posselt, who is affiliated with the University of California at San Francisco, could have had his license suspended or revoked as a result of the incident. But the state’s inquiry determined the incident was “clearly an aberration in an otherwise law-abiding life.” The incident occurred on Jan. 10, 2015, when witnesses saw Posselt drive into two parked cars in Mill Valley and then leave the scene, according to the medical board filing. When police contacted Posselt, he acknowledged that his child was in the car at the time, the board said. Police placed him under arrest.
