Alabama House Republicans support teacher raise, ban on refugees
The Republican Caucus in the Alabama House of Representatives today unveiled its 2016 legislative agenda, which includes a pay raise for education employees in K-12 public schools and two-year colleges.
Other proposals include a plan to put wireless broadband in all schools and a tax credit for small businesses that hire new employees.
The agenda touches on some hot button national issues:
-- A commitment by the caucus to "oppose any Obama administration effort to relocate masses of Syrian or other Middle Eastern refugees to our state."
