Suffolk University President Margaret McKenna, under pressure from some trustees to resign, asserted Friday that she has no intention of stepping down. “I am committed to Suffolk University,” McKenna wrote in a letter e-mailed to faculty. “I believe deeply in its mission, in its people, who care so much for this institution, and most of all, in its students.” She said the school’s Board of Trustees indicated that it plans to make a decision about her presidency at its meeting on Feb. 12. McKenna’s show of resolve deepened the crisis on the downtown campus, as students and faculty rallied to her defense.
