A Glenshaw man was arrested today for trying to sell illegal pills inside a traffic courtroom, according to a release by the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office. Christopher Durkin, 35, was in court to appear before District Judge James Hanley to face a charge of driving under suspension. After his hearing, the release says Mr. Durkin walked away from the bench and engaged with someone — also there for a traffic charge, but no acquaintance of Mr. Durkin — seated in the courtroom. A nearby sheriff's deputy told Mr. Durkin to leave the courtroom. The other man, who the sheriff’s office has not identified, then approached the officer and told him Mr. Durkin attempted to sell him Suboxone pills. Mr. Durkin was then searched in the hallway, and two doses of Suboxone were found in his pants pockets.
