Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz campaigned in Greenville Tuesday, one day after Iowa Republicans picked him as their favorite to be the party’s presidential nominee and one week before New Hampshire Republicans were scheduled to vote on the same question. Cruz, a senator from Texas, found time between campaign events in New Hampshire to travel to Greenville and deliver a stump speech at the TD Convention Center. Hundreds of voters who mostly filled a large meeting room didn’t seem to mind that he was late. They repeatedly interrupted his speech with applause. “I’ll tell ya, South Carolina knows how to make a Canadian Texan feel at home,” Cruz declared.
