A St. Louis day care center with a history of child care violations is under investigation after police say its staff left a boy, 3, on a bus for seven hours without food or water. Tahanica Scott, 22, said she got a call Monday afternoon from GSL Developmental Center staff, who said they realized her son, Dallas Scott, had been left on the day care’s bus all day. They told her to come to the center immediately, she said, but they gave her no explanation. “They literally said, ‘He’s just sitting on the bus,’ ” Scott said. “I was scared. Was he OK? How did this happen? Where do I go from this?” Scott’s mother called the police, who then notified the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, which handles child services cases. Scott took her son to be checked out at urgent care, but he was unharmed.
