SANTA FE, N.M. — Attorney General Hector Balderas has cleared 10 more behavioral health providers of fraud following an investigation.
They were among 15 referred to the AG in 2013 by the Human Services Department, which said there was overbilling, mismanagment and possible fraud. The nonprofits provided services to the mentally ill and addicted.
Three of the 15 had been cleared earlier by the AG.
“While we did find some regulatory violations, there did not appear to be a pattern of fraud for any of the ten completed investigations,” Balderas said in a letter delivered to members of the Legislature this morning.
