LITTLE ROCK — Former Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has been sworn in as a lawyer in Washington and will also begin lobbying lawmakers in Arkansas.
McDaniel on Monday was sworn in as a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and will now be licensed to practice in Washington. The former Arkansas attorney general also registered his law firm as a lobbying firm with the Arkansas Ethics Commission.
McDaniel was barred by law from lobbying for one year after leaving office. He left office in early 2015 due to term limits. He said his firm's clients will include AT&T, Acxiom, Facebook and the Jacksonville/North Pulaski School District.
McDaniel, a former state representative, ran for the Democratic nomination for governor but dropped out of the race in early 2013.
