An unidentified man is suspected to have killed himself early Saturday morning after barricading himself in a south Cheyenne motel room.
Laramie County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Capt. Linda Gesell said in a news release that the identity of the man is being withheld while his family is notified.
According to the release, deputies responded to the Round-Up Motel at 403 South Greeley Highway Friday night to follow up on a lead from Colorado authorities that a wanted man was staying there.
Shots were fired from inside the room when deputies arrived around 9:30 p.m. One of the bullets grazed a deputy in the hand. He was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, treated and released.
